Veterans Dinner at the Legion Post 197 with 75 Veterans attending. Debbie Robinson was the speaker who talked about the loss of her husband, who served in Vietnam, and died due to illnesses from Agent Orange and the loss of her son who served in Iraq who died of a drug overdose while battling the effects of PTSD. She also mentioned that there is an abundance of help available to Veterans needing medical care as a result of Military service and that anyone needing help should contact their local Veteran Affairs Office. Bob Sopczynski and Dr. Oakes won the 50/50 drawings and Ron Volmering won the Patriotic blanket. A very nice meal was catered by Pat Emerick. God Bless America was sung with a closing prayer for peace given by acting chaplain Bill Wells.
